New Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Sai Sudharsan smashed his maiden IPL 2026 hundred against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, April 24. Sudharsan had a tough start in the ongoing season, but returned to form with a 57-ball century.
He reached to his century by taking a single on the fourth ball of the 15th over, bowled by Suyash Sharma. Sudharsan slammed 11 boundaries and five sixes in his outstanding knock. He became the 14th batter to hit an IPL hundred against RCB and only the second Gujarat Titans player to reach the milestone after Gill’s ton in the 2023 season.
Sudharsan endured a difficult start in the ongoing season, scoring just 135 runs in 6 matches. But completed his half-century off 33 deliveries, and stitched a 128-run partnership for the opening wicket with skipper Shubman Gill. He was removed by Josh Hazlewood for 100 runs in the 16th over.

He broke Chris Gayle’s record to reach the milestone, who completed 2000 IPL runs in 48 innings.
Sudharsan scored his 2000th IPL run in 47 innings. He is also the second batter to slam 2000 runs in the IPL for the Gujarat Titans after Shubman Gill.
GT set 206-run target for RCBAfter being asked to bat, GT posted 205/3 in 20 overs. Gill and Sudharsan batted with intent and smacked 57 runs in the powerplay. The left-hander led the charge and smashed boundaries at regular intervals.
