Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has made a big announcement for the farmers. Schemes like wheat procurement target of 100 lakh metric tonnes, 4 times compensation, agricultural pump connection at Rs 5, solar pump and urad bonus will provide great relief to farmers.
If the axis of politics and development of Madhya Pradesh revolves around anyone, it is the farmers. The food provider who sweats in the fields is the backbone of the state's economy. Strengthening this sentiment again, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav presented his clear message to the people of the state, the government stands with the farmers in every situation.
On April 24, through social media, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while paying tribute to the farmers, said that his government's resolve is not just to make announcements, but to make "true promise, sure work". He clearly said that the idea of all-round development of the state is incomplete without farmers and the government is giving top priority to farmer welfare.

Farmers' hard work received great respect
The Chief Minister said that in view of the record wheat production this year, the Central Government was requested to increase the purchase limit. Now the target of wheat procurement has been increased from 78 lakh metric tonnes to 100 lakh metric tonnes. This increase of 22 lakh metric tonnes is not just a figure, but a respect for the hard work of the farmers. This will provide stability to the income of farmers and it will be possible to purchase more produce at support price. He also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for this.
Slot booking for wheat purchase fully opened
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that now slot booking for selling wheat at support price has been completely opened for all small and big farmers of the state. Now wheat procurement will be done 6 days a week and there will be no holiday on Saturday also. Not only this, the last date for slot booking fixed till 30th April has been extended to 9th May. It can be extended further if necessary. He said that it is the primary responsibility of the government to ensure that the farmer brothers do not face any kind of problem.

Up to 4 times compensation to farmers on land acquisition
The government has taken a big decision regarding land acquisition. Now farmers will be given up to 4 times compensation for their land. The Chief Minister said that this decision is not just administrative but is related to the future security of the farmers. The government wants that along with development works, the rights of farmers should also be fully protected.
Bonus on urad, relief on mustard
To increase the income of farmers, the government has also taken big steps on pulses and oilseed crops. Urad will be purchased at the fixed support price and in addition a bonus of Rs 600 per quintal will also be given. At the same time, after the implementation of Bhavantar Yojana, mustard is getting better prices in the market. Farmers have started getting higher prices than MSP, which will strengthen their economic condition.
Agricultural pump connection for just Rs 5
The Chief Minister said that for the first time in the country, agricultural pump connections are being provided to farmers for just Rs 5. Along with this, solar irrigation pumps are being given at 90 percent subsidy under Krishak Mitra Scheme. The government is trying to ensure that farmers get adequate electricity during the day instead of at night and they can become self-reliant in terms of electricity. This step will help in strengthening the irrigation system and also in reducing the cost of farming.
Madhya Pradesh will become 'Milk Capital'
Dr. Mohan Yadav said that along with agriculture, the government is also making animal husbandry a strong medium to increase the income of farmers. 1752 new milk societies have been formed in the state and daily milk collection has reached more than 10 lakh kilograms. More than Rs 1600 crore has been paid to milk producing farmers. Now farmers are getting 8 to 10 rupees more per kg milk. The aim of the government is to make Madhya Pradesh the “Milk Capital” of the country.
Focus also on availability of manure and fertilizer
The Chief Minister said that despite the global circumstances like war, the availability of urea in the state is 5.90 lakh metric tonnes, which is more than last year. Adequate storage of other fertilizers has also been done. Through technology and innovation, arrangements are now being made to provide fertilizers to farmers from convenient places without standing in long queues.
“The prosperity of farmers is the strength of the state”
At the end of his message, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the hard work of farmers, their sweat and their future is the top priority of the government. He said that the prosperous farmers of Madhya Pradesh will play the biggest role in building a developed India 2047. The government will stand with the farmers in every situation and will make the year of Farmer Welfare historic. It is clear that this time the government is not just announcing schemes but is trying to strengthen trust on the ground. This message of “true promise, sure work” is now directly linked to the expectations of the farmers.
