Mammootty continues to impress audiences with his diverse choice of roles. The Malayalam superstar is known for constant reinvention, especially over the past few years with films such as 'Brahmayugam', 'Kannur Squad', 'Kathal: The Core', and others.

Now, the actor has hinted at something unexpected. A possible vampire role has caught the attention of fans and the 'Patriot' actor has revealed a small detail about the upcoming film.


‘Lokah 2’ confirmation

As reported by Reporter, Mammootty addressed media questions at a recent press meet for the upcoming film 'Patriot'. He confirmed that he will be part of 'Lokah 2'.

During the interaction, a journalist asked, “Will Mammookka’s vampire come?” The actor responded playfully. He said, “No need to be scared, it will come a little later.” He also added that it would “shock” audiences.


Playful banter about Dulquer SalmaanMammootty also spoke about his earlier experience with 'Lokah'. He recalled how Dulquer Salmaan had “tricked” him into acting in the project.

This time, the veteran actor had a witty response. He joked that he would be the one doing the tricking now.


Mammootty about vampire filmThe vampire idea is not entirely new. In an earlier interview with Anupama Chopra, Mammootty had dropped a similar hint.

Towards the end of the conversation, he asked, “Have you ever imagined me playing a vampire?” The unexpected question surprised Anupama Chopra. She responded by asking if such a role could really happen.

Mammootty simply replied, “Suspense.” When she added that it would be a fantastic role, he smiled and said, “Insha Allah…”

‘Patriot’ brings legends together

Meanwhile, Mammootty is preparing for the release of Patriot. The film is directed by Mahesh Narayanan. It features both Mammootty and Mohanlal in central roles. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara and Kunchacko Boban in key roles and will release on May 1.
