On Saturday, Sanjay Singh, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Rajya Sabha MP, issued a stern warning to media channels displaying what he termed 'fake' images of Delhi's Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence, referred to as 'Sheesh Mahal.' Singh asserted that all images released by Verma are completely fabricated, false, and baseless. He declared that he would file a defamation lawsuit against Verma or any television channel that publishes such misleading images aimed at tarnishing Kejriwal's reputation.

Call for Transparency

Singh emphasized that the truth will eventually emerge. He urged that the residences of the LG, CM Rekha Gupta, Parvesh Verma, and Arvind Kejriwal should be opened to the public for inspection. He believes that the citizens should see for themselves and determine whose home has become so extravagant. Singh criticized the dissemination of fake images and news, accusing the opposition of employing tactics reminiscent of Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propagandist, to spread lies.

BJP's Criticism of Kejriwal's New Residence

The BJP has targeted AAP's national convenor, Kejriwal, over his newly allocated bungalow in Lodhi Estate, dubbing it 'Sheesh Mahal 2.' They alleged that private funds were used for the construction of amenities in the residence. During a press conference at the BJP headquarters, Verma claimed that Kejriwal has developed a taste for a luxurious lifestyle. He further stated that after being ousted from the Sheesh Mahal by the discerning voters of Delhi, Kejriwal moved to Punjab, where he acquired a bungalow, and has now established 'Sheesh Mahal 2' in Lodhi Estate.

Allegations of Misuse of Funds

Verma released images of the Type VII bungalow allocated to Kejriwal by the central government and asserted that the Central Public Works Department does not spend such exorbitant amounts on bungalows. He further accused that 'private funds' were utilized for the construction of high-quality facilities within the residence.
