Release remaining 30 pc gratuity, leave encashment of ex-class-IV employees: HP govt

Synopsis

The Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the immediate release of the remaining 30 percent gratuity and leave encashment arrears for Class-IV employees. These employees retired or died in service between January 1, 2016, and January 31, 2022. This move ensures that all such pending payments are now cleared. The government has already disbursed interim relief and dearness allowance installments.

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Government on Saturday issued orders to immediately release remaining 30 per cent gratuity and leave encashment arrears of Class-IV employees who have retired or died in harness between January 1, 2016 and January 31, 2022.

The state government has already paid four instalments of interim relief and 12 instalments of dearness allowance on the basic pension and basic family pension, a government spokesperson said in a statement issued here.

He said that concerned pension disbursing authorities have been asked to ensure that, following this release, the gratuity and leave encashment arrears of such Class-IV employees should be zero.
