Why do we crave for sweets?
Feeling like eating something sweet several times a day has become a very common thing these days. Along with increasing body fat, excess sugar also causes rapid ups and downs in blood sugar. This can cause problems like weakness, irritability and early hunger. Consuming too much sugar for a long time can also increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease and skin problems.

Reduce sugar in these 6 ways
- Reduce cold drinks, packaged juices and tea and coffee with high sugar content. Instead of this, take coconut water, lemon water or plain water.
- Include pulses, eggs, cheese, salad and fruits in your diet. This keeps the stomach full for a long time and reduces the desire to eat sweets.
- Sleeping 7-8 hours every day helps in keeping the hormones of the body balanced. This reduces unhealthy cravings.
- Habits like yoga, meditation and walk reduce stress. When stress reduces, the desire to eat sweets again and again will also reduce.
- Instead of giving up sugar suddenly, reduce the amount gradually. This will make it easier for the body to accept change.
- Instead of sweets, you can eat fruits, dates or a small amount of dark chocolate. This will provide taste and will not cause much harm.
Craving to eat sweets is not just a habit of taste but can also be a sign of the body. If changes in eating habits and lifestyle are made in time, the sugar habit can be controlled to a great extent. For a healthy body, taking sugar in balanced quantity is considered to be the best option.
