New Delhi: Marcus Stoinis and Prabhsimran Singh starred for the side as Punjab Kings (PBKS) posted 222 for 4 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their Indian Premier League 2026 clash on Tuesday. Put into bat first, Punjab lost the wicket of fierce opener Priyansh Arya early in the innings for 29 but Prabhsimran and others took the responsibility on their shoulders post that.
Stoinis was the highest scorer for team providing a later flourish with unbeaten 62 off 22 balls while Prabhsimran runs up front to build up for the table-toppers after the first blow. Stoinis smashed as many as 6 sixes and 4 boundaries in his fiery knock while Prabhsimran played more of a sensible knock this time.
Connolly, Iyer contribute 30 each
In the middle stages of the game, Cooper Connolly and skipper Shreyas Iyer gave the side an accelerations with scores of 30 each. While Connolly smashed 30 off just 14 balls, Iyer scored off 27 deliveries to stabilise the innings. For the Royals, Yash Punja picked up two wickets.
