Bengaluru: Bengaluru Police has arrested a local Congress leader on charges of having an affair with a man's wife and then misbehaving and assaulting his minor daughter. The matter pertains to Annapurneshwari Nagar police station. Police have arrested the accused Anand P. (Anand Naidu) under the POCSO Act on the complaint of a 40-year-old man resident of Malgal. The complainant alleges that Anand misbehaved with his minor daughter and also assaulted her.

What is the whole matter?

The person who complained said that he was married to a girl in 2008. But the wife hid the fact that he was already married and also had a daughter. The man said, "I still settled down with her. We had two more children." The man told that he took over his father's business and also built a new house in Malagal.

According to the complaint, in 2016 his wife joined a gym and started an affair with trainer Prashant there. In 2018, she joined another gym and had an affair with a man named Umesh. After this, she also had illicit relations with another person named Sunkadkatte Shivu. The husband alleges that when he questioned all this, the wife conspired to murder him.

'My property was also grabbed'

The victim further said in his complaint, "In 2022, I met Anand regarding money transactions. After this, Anand got to know my wife and they started having an affair. When I and my children started becoming an obstacle in this relationship, both of them beat us with sticks."

It is alleged that Anand also misbehaved with his minor daughter. Apart from this, by threatening to kill him, he got him to sign the property papers (quitting title letter and donation letter) and threw him out of the house. Later, when he came to meet his children, they told him about the atrocities they were facing. The man has demanded strict legal action against his wife and her lover Anand.

Police also interrogated the wife

Police officials said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against Anand and the woman under POCSO Act and other sections. The accused Anand has been arrested and the complainant's wife is also being interrogated. It is being told that accused Anand is a Congress leader from Bengaluru North district and Mahalaxmi Layout assembly constituency.
