The admission process at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi is set to commence soon. Students can utilize the official portal to apply for admission.

This is important news for students aspiring to enroll in higher education programs. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi has accelerated its preparations for the admission process for the academic session 2026-27. The admission process for the university is scheduled to begin in the first week of May.

The online portal for admission into the university’s Post-Graduate (PG) courses will be opened in the first week of May. Students will be able to apply from the comfort of their homes. Meanwhile, admissions for Under-Graduate (UG) courses will be conducted through the CUET-UG examination. As soon as the CUET results are declared, the application process will commence immediately.

Several changes have been introduced to various courses this year. The B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics—previously offered as a B.A. program—has now been reclassified under the Science stream to facilitate easier progression in future studies. Additionally, new courses are being introduced, such as the B.A. in Visual Arts for those wishing to build a career in the arts, and the M.A. in Creative Writing for students interested in writing, media, and content creation. Furthermore, an M.A. in Performing Arts is being offered for those with an interest in theater, music, and stage arts. A specialized course has also been launched for careers related to museums and heritage management.

A Great Opportunity: The One-Year Master’s Program

In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a one-year Master’s program has also been introduced this year. Students who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree will now be able to complete their Master’s degree in just one year. This facility will be available for subjects such as Psychology, English, Hindi, Economics, Sociology, History, and Political Science. This initiative will save time and enable students to embark on their careers sooner.

The university has made its entire admission process completely digital. Students will be able to apply for various courses through a single portal. The application fee has been kept reasonable, and special concessions will be granted to students belonging to reserved categories. This initiative will ensure that a maximum number of students gain access to higher education.

Scholarship Facilities Also Available

In the new PG courses, special emphasis will be placed on research, projects, fieldwork, and internships. The university is collaborating with several institutions to provide students with real-world professional experience. This will enhance employment opportunities for students upon the completion of their studies. Provisions for scholarships and fee waivers have been made for economically disadvantaged students. Assistance will also be extended to students belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories.
