On Saturday, 02.05.2026, a surprise inspection of Police Station Obra was conducted by Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma. During the inspection, a thorough and minute observation was made of the police station office, quality of records, warehouse, lock-up, CCTV system, police station premises, canteen, armory, barracks and other administrative and security arrangements including cleanliness.
During the inspection, the Superintendent of Police gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officers and employees for systematic and updated maintenance of records, cleanliness of the police station premises, discipline, timely execution of work and further strengthening the positive work culture.
During the inspection, the functioning of Mission Shakti Kendra was specially reviewed and instructions were given to ensure prompt, fair and sensitive action in cases to crimes against women. Special emphasis was laid on making the Women’s Help Help Desk more active and effective, taking action on complaints to women and girls on priority basis and providing prompt, respectful and effective assistance to the victims.
Also, while reviewing the cyber help desk, instructions were given to take prompt cognizance of complaints to cyber crimes, online fraud and digital crimes, to provide prompt assistance to the victims and to make the general public aware about prevention of cyber crimes. Emphasis was also laid on strengthening the security confidence of the general public by strengthening the police-public dialogue. It was directed by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra that prompt resolution of public problems, transparent policing and sensitive behavior should be given top priority.
Apart from this, the work of the recruited constables appointed at Obra police station was also reviewed. During this, they were given detailed information about the necessary precautions, duties and responsibilities to be taken while on duty and directed to work with discipline, vigilance and devotion.
