Dario has said in his talk that with the help of AI the average age of humans can be increased to 150 years. End of diseases? 10x speed in medical sector

In his article Machines of Loving Grace, the CEO makes a number of claims about AI, and while making his point strongly, he has based his words on his studies and experience in biophysics. Dario clearly believes that AI is going to do such miracles in medical science in the future which seem impossible today. As:

• AI will work at 10x speed in the medical sector.
• For human cancer, AI will prepare medicine based on the patient’s DNA which will kill only the cancer cells and not the body.
• In understanding the complex structure of the brain, AI can decode many things in a few years, due to which diseases like memory loss will become history.
• The combination of mRNA technology and AI will make it easier to prevent any pandemic in the future.

100 years of progress in 10 years

Amodei has named this period as The Compressed 21st Century. In this, the CEO believes that the progress that scientists would have made in the next 50 to 100 years can be completed in just 10 years after the arrival of AI. He believes that AI will work like a Nobel Prize winner who will be experts in biology, mathematics and engineering and can simplify many difficult data.

Poverty ended, but jobs at risk?

The CEO says that its impact will be seen not only on healthcare but also on poverty. He believes that:

• AI can increase the GDP of developing countries by 20% annually.
• AI can improve farming and fertilizer logistics and eliminate hunger from the world.
• AI can bring a big change in green energy and carbon removal technologies.

When there is no work, what will a person do?

Amodei believes that AI can eliminate jobs. But his perspective looks at it in a positive way. According to his thinking, a person will get time for his hobbies and relationships instead of work. After which the governments will have to change their model and adopt a model like Universal Basic Income i.e. UBI so that people can live a respectable life even without a job.
