On Monday, a cabinet meeting was held under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in which 27 important proposals were approved. Prominent among these decisions was the approval of the new transfer policy 2026-27 for state government officers and employees, which is expected to provide relief to lakhs of state employees. The One District One Dish scheme also got the green signal in the meeting, which aims to improve the quality and packaging.
Under the new transfer policy issued, all transfers in the state this year will be completed by May 31, 2026. The scope of this policy will cover those employees who have completed three years of service in the district and seven years in the division. The previous arrangement of not keeping any post vacant in the aspirational districts will continue. In transfers, a provision has been made to post the couples working in government service at the same place, as well as to provide special relief in transfer to the disabled and employees suffering from serious diseases.
Establishment of 500 MW solar plant in Jalaun
Under the One District One Cuisine scheme, a Cuisine Conference will be organized at Prerna Sthal, in which technical experts from the food sector will also be invited. Apart from this, it has been decided to set up a huge solar plant of 500 MW capacity in Jalaun. Under the Chief Minister Fellow Scheme, two CM Fellows will be deployed, one of whom will be an expert in the economic sector and the other in data analysis. They will be provided an honorarium of Rs 50 thousand, housing allowance of Rs 10 thousand and a laptop. It has also been decided to increase the tenure of Research Associate from two years to three years.
Approval of Rs 546 crore for road project in Lucknow
A sum of Rs 546 crore has been sanctioned to connect Raitha Underpass with Outer Ring Road in Lucknow with a four-lane road. To bring transparency and speed in government work, now Tamila (personal information) will be considered valid through email and mobile also. With the aim of providing knowledge of modern technology to children, Dream Skill Labs will be established in 150 government schools of the state with the help of NELCO and the state government. Nelco will spend Rs 1360 crore and the state government will spend Rs 640 crore in this project. In the first phase, Dream Skill Labs will be set up at 18 divisional headquarters, on which an expenditure of Rs 240 crore will be incurred.
Demand of Rs 147 crore for tree plantation
Taking steps towards environmental protection, Rs 147 crore has been sought for tree plantation, under which 30 per cent of fruit trees will be planted and plantation of seasonally appropriate trees will be ensured. In the field of higher education, the government is working towards establishing a university in every district. In this sequence, a letter of intent has been issued to Amardeep Memorial Trust of Firozabad to establish Amardeep University, and Metro University has been granted LOP (Letter of Permission) for operation.
653 crore power station project in Noida-Yida
Textile parks will be developed on four closed spinning mills to give impetus to industrial development in the state. These mills are located in Amroha, Bareilly, Sant Kabir Nagar and Bijnor. The textile park built in Lucknow will soon be inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The lands of all the closed spinning mills of the state will be used to create textile parks, which will create employment opportunities. In view of the increasing industrial investment, establishment of manufacturing clusters, film city and data centers in Noida and YEIDA, it has been decided to set up a power station of 400-220 KVA capacity in these areas. Rs 653 crore will be spent on this, which will ensure uninterrupted power supply to new industries.

Chief Minister Yogi also expressed his happiness on this occasion by feeding sweets to the Deputy Chief Minister and other ministers.
