The establishment of Government Nursing College in Kushinagar has received approval from the Yogi Cabinet. 0.405 hectare land will be transferred to the medical college. This will improve health services and increase local employment opportunities.
Lucknow/Kushinagar. The way has now been cleared for the establishment of Government Nursing College in Kushinagar, the place of Mahaparinirvana of Tathagat Buddha. This proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting of Yogi government held on Monday. Under this, the land located near the Medical College will be transferred free of cost to the Medical Education Department.
Cabinet meeting gives green signal to land transfer
According to the Cabinet decision, 0.405 hectare of ceiling land adjacent to the Autonomous State Medical College, Kushinagar will be given to the Medical Education Department. This land was already earmarked and its transfer has now received formal approval.
Benefits under centrally assisted scheme
A total of 27 nursing colleges have been allotted to Uttar Pradesh under the Centrally Aided Scheme of the Government of India, which includes Kushinagar. The cost of each nursing college has been fixed at Rs 10 crore. In this, 60% amount will be borne by the Central Government and 40% by the State Government.
Nursing college will be built in Rampur area of Padrauna.
This nursing college will be established in Mauza Rampur of Padrauna tehsil. Here, a total of 1.054 hectares of ceiling land is available with the Medical College, out of which 0.405 hectares of land has been earmarked for the Nursing College. This place is located about 500 meters south of the Padrauna-Kubersthan main road, which will make access easier.
Local employment and health services will get a boost
The establishment of Nursing College in Kushinagar Medical College campus will strengthen the high level medical services. Besides, new employment opportunities will also be created for the local youth. This project will play an important role in the overall development of the area.
