A simple notice found in a taxi in Hyderabad has become the cause of major debate on the internet. In this notice, some rules have been written regarding proper behavior between the driver and the passenger. As soon as this picture went viral on social media, there are mixed reactions from users. A social media user named Aman posted this photo on X and wrote that the cabs of Hyderabad are not afraid of anyone. A long list of instructions written by the driver for the passengers is visible in the photo.
It is clearly written in the beginning of the notice that the owner of the taxi is the driver, not the passenger. After this, some basic etiquettes have been written, such as - passengers should talk politely, show respect and close the door slowly. The driver has also made it clear that paying the fare does not mean that you should misbehave. “Carry your attitude in your pocket,” she wrote.
Matters related to fare are also mentioned in this leaflet. Passengers have been instructed not to pretend to pay more. Another rule that caught people's attention was the advice not to call the driver "bhaiya". It seems that the driver wants to be called in some other way.
The notice also emphasizes on comfort and safety. The driver has advised passengers to reach on time and not ask him to drive faster. Also, there is a caveat that there should be no romance in the taxi and it is not a private place or OYO. Passengers have been appealed to maintain peace and maintain distance.

How was the reaction on social media?
This message quickly went viral and sparked debate on the internet. One user commented, "After booking they will call and negotiate." Another user wrote, “He may be the cab owner, but we are the customers.” However, many people supported the driver saying that he has the right to make his choice. Some also said the messages perhaps reflect the growing frustration among drivers who are struggling with difficult passengers, long work hours and the pricing pressures of aggregator platforms.
