Tehran: The ongoing tension and ego battle between Iran and America had frightened the entire world. It seemed that this war in the Middle East would never end, but now a news has come which has shocked everyone. A big ‘deal’ has been signed between the two superpowers, which has raised hopes that now the smell of gunpowder will reduce in the Gulf countries and the days of peace will return.
It is reported that the huge Iranian ship (MV Touska) was captured, its 22 crew members have been released. Experts are considering this not just as a release, but a big effort by America to win the trust of Iran. The ice of enmity that has been frozen for many years now seems to be melting.
MV Touska controversy: When both armies came face to face in the sea
This entire controversy started last month when the situation near Chabahar Port in the Gulf of Oman went out of control. The US Army surrounded and captured the Iranian container ship ‘MV Touska’. The American Central Command alleged that this ship was trying to break their naval siege. On the other hand, Tehran openly termed it as ‘piracy’ and demanded immediate release, calling it a violation of international rules. This one incident had brought both the countries to the brink of direct war.
Pakistan became ‘middle man’, this is how the whole matter was resolved
When tensions reached their peak and the threat of war loomed, the two countries began negotiations behind the scenes. In this, Pakistan played the role of mediator. Under a special plan, 22 crew members were secretly brought to Pakistan via flight. America has called it a ‘confidence-building measure’. These members are now being handed over to Iran. Preparations have been completed to return not only the crew, but also the ship ‘MV Touska’ to Iran after repairs in Pakistani waters.
Will the Iran-America war really end?
This war between America, Israel and Iran, which started in February, currently rests on a very fragile ceasefire. Pakistan becoming a mediator between the seizure of ships in the sea clearly shows that now both the sides are tired of direct fight and are looking for a way to negotiate. Diplomacy experts are considering this return home of 22 crew members as the ‘first major victory’ of peace. Although it is too early to call the decades-old enmity completely over, the ‘MV Touska’ deal has definitely taken a strong step towards peace.
