Supaul District Magistrate Sawan Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the Community Health Centre, Kishanpur on Tuesday. During the inspection, the condition of cleanliness of the hospital premises, bedsheets available for patients and toilets was found to be very poor, on which the District Magistrate expressed deep displeasure.
After finding negligence in cleaning arrangements, the DM took strict action against the concerned agency and directed to deduct 75 percent of the amount from the bill for two months. At the same time, when irregularities were found in the log book of the generator, an order was given to confiscate it immediately.
During the inspection, three persons were found unauthorized present in the hospital premises, who were handed over to the concerned police station on the instructions of the District Magistrate.
However, it was a matter of relief that all the doctors and health workers were found present at their respective workplaces and medicines were being distributed to the patients regularly.
The District Magistrate gave necessary directions to the concerned officials to improve the overall system of the health center and to give priority to cleanliness.
