According to reports, the two women were attempting to cross the railway tracks at an unauthorized point. At that very moment, the New Farakka Express, approaching on the 'Down Line,' collided with them. Due to the train's high speed, neither of the women stood any chance of survival. Following the incident, teams from the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrived at the scene, took custody of the two bodies, and initiated an investigation. The investigation revealed that both women were residents of the local area.
