Larsen and Toubro
Engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has released its fourth quarter (Q4) results. The company's net profit declined by 3% year-on-year to ₹ 5,326 crore, compared to ₹ 5,497 crore in the same quarter last year. However, giving relief to the investors, the company has announced a final dividend of ₹ 38 per share, the record date of which has been fixed as May 22.
Strong growth in earnings
Despite a slight decline in profits, there has been a good increase in the total income of the company. L&T's consolidated revenue in the March 2026 quarter stood at ₹82,762 crore, which is 11% higher on an annual basis. International business had a major contribution in this, which was ₹ 43,747 crore (53% of the total).
operational performance stable
The company's EBITDA increased by 5% to ₹8,610 crore. Better performance of engineering projects and service business supported this growth. It is clear that the operational performance of the company remains strong.
On order inflow and order book records
In this quarter, the company received new orders worth ₹89,772 crore, which include infrastructure, transport, transmission and hydrocarbon sectors. 67% of these orders came from abroad. By March 2026, the company's total order book reached a record level of ₹7.4 lakh crore, which is 28% more than last year. International projects have 52% stake in this.
Growth in different segments
The infrastructure segment secured orders worth ₹43,477 crore, a growth of 26%. IT and Technology Services generated income of ₹14,078 crore (13% growth), while Financial Services recorded ₹4,669 crore (22% growth). The high-tech manufacturing business delivered a sharp growth of 45% in revenue of ₹4,861 crore.
Further strategy and focus
Company Chairman SN Subrahmanyan said that the entire year was strong and the company received orders worth more than ₹ 4 lakh crore. L&T will now work on its next five-year plan Lakshya31, in which there will be special focus on sectors like AI, digital infrastructure, green energy and semiconductor.
