Timberwolves HC provides Anthony Edwards injury update

The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a close win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, May 4, in Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Semifinals, with a 104-102 final score.

It doesn’t get much closer than that, and it’s fair to say that it would have been even more difficult to pull off this win if Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards hadn’t come off the bench.

In his first game back, Edwards clocked 18 points in 25 minutes. It was a solid showing after being out for a left knee hyperextension and a bone bruise he suffered during Game 4 of the team’s series against the Denver Nuggets.

So, where does the Edwards injury stand going into Game 2 against the Spurs?

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch shared an update about Edwards’ status speaking to reporters on Tuesday.

“So far, so good,” he stated, adding that Edwards will get light work and treatment on Tuesday in San Antonio, per ESPN’s Anthony Slater.

“No word on whether he can up Edwards’ minutes beyond that 25 range in Game 2,” Slater added.
