Kolkata: Coforge shares surged about 9% as soon as trading began on Wednesday, May 6. The shares surged to Rs 1,269.40, up Rs 100.60 or 8.55% around 9:50 am. Great investor enthusiasm followed the announcement of strong rise in net profit of the IT company which was made after the market hours on Tuesday. Around 9:45 am on Wednesday, BSE Sensex was at 77,316.75, up 298.96 points or 0.39%, while Nifty 50 stood at 24,138.90, up 106.10 points or 0.44%.
Q4FY26 jump in PAT
In the Q4FY26 period, Coforge reported a 145% jump in PAT (Q-o-Q) which stood at Rs 615 crore. The last quarter PAT was Rs 250 crore.
