US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore described the growing strategic partnership between India and America as important. On Wednesday, he said that the relations between the two countries are continuously strengthening and this cooperation will reach new heights in future. This comment of the Ambassador has come before the proposed visit of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to India.

Gore described Rubio as his “good friend.” He said that America gives great importance to its relations with India. Wrote on social media platform

This statement has come at a time when diplomatic activities between India and America are increasing rapidly. Last month, there was a phone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, in which bilateral cooperation and the situation in West Asia were discussed.

Prime Minister Modi had said that both the countries reviewed the progress of cooperation in various fields and agreed to further strengthen the “Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership”.

He also said that it is extremely important to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and secure, as it is a vital route for global energy supplies.

Earlier, Gore welcomed Secretary of State Vikram Misri to the White House, where he met with Marco Rubio. During this, issues like trade, important minerals, defense cooperation and Quad were discussed.

The growing cooperation between India and the US in energy, advanced technology and defense sectors reflects the deepening strategic ties between the two countries.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to visit India on an important visit in May 2026. The visit will focus on strengthening bilateral relations such as trade, defence, Quad alliance and critical minerals. The visit has been confirmed after a productive meeting with Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in Washington.

Gore also met Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Wednesday itself. Sharing the photo of this meeting, he said that it was a pleasure to meet him. Good discussions took place on various areas of mutual interest. Many governors of America will visit Delhi in the coming months, and this visit will be very important.
