BCCI announces venues and fixtures for Team India: Vaibhav Suryavanshi is currently playing in IPL 2026. But, after that he is preparing for his international debut in white ball cricket for India. After IPL 2026, India has to play matches against teams like Ireland and Zimbabwe, in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi is likely to get a chance. But, the schedule currently released by BCCI is for the series against Australia A team. This series is going to be played in September-October this year, in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi may get a chance from India A.
IND A vs AUS A series schedule announced
Apart from 2 multi-day matches, 3 ODI series are to be played between India A and Australia A. Both these series will be organized in Puducherry. The first four-day match will be held between September 22 and September 25, while the second four-day match will be held between September 29 and October 2. After this 2-match series played with red ball, the ODI series will start from 6th October. After the first ODI will be played on 6 October, the second ODI will be played on 9 October and the third on 11 October.
Why will Vaibhav Suryavanshi get a chance?
Vaibhav Suryavanshi had performed well for India A in the Emerging Asia Cup held last year. In the Emerging Asia Cup 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not only the top scorer of India A but was also the second most successful batsman in the tournament. He scored 239 runs in 4 matches for India A with the help of a strike rate of 243.87 and 22 sixes. In the Emerging Asia Cup 2025, Vaibhav was also the batsman who hit the most sixes and scored runs at the highest strike rate. He also made the highest score of 144 runs in that tournament.
Will Suryavanshi also play red ball series for IND A?
Looking at the performance of Vaibhav Suryavanshi for India A in the Emerging Asia Cup 2025, his chances of playing in the ODI series against Australia A also seem certain. However, it cannot be said whether he will play in the two multi-day series of matches to be held before that or not. If Vaibhav plays in the series against Australia A in September-October, it will be the first time that he will be seen playing in Puducherry.
Schedule of Indian women's team also released
BCCI not only announced the series to be played between India A and Australia A but also announced the schedule of the white ball series of the Indian women's cricket team with Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe team will tour India in October this year, where it has to play 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches. All three matches of the T20 series between India and Zimbabwe women's teams will be played in Raipur on 16, 18 and 20 October. The ODI series will be played in Vadodara. Its matches will be held on 23, 25 and 28 October.
