Lots of people love chocolate, with Toblerone being a top choice for many, but fans are starting to notice a specific detail about its packaging. The chocolate may be known for its distinctive shape as a series of joined triangular prisms, which was acutally inspired by the Matterhorn mountain, but it's the brand's logo that has recently captured people's attention.

It was highlighted by Andrea Meakin who shared the foodie discovery on TikTok, as the piece of information left her so stunned. For years it appears many people have missed that there's a "hidden symbol" in the Toblerone logo, and it's left several totally gobsmacked.

This isn't the first time the brand has surprised shoppers either. A few years back, people were also floored to discover what the brand's name actually means.

Alongside an image of the chocolate bar, Andrea wrote: "I was today years old when I realised there is a bear in the logo on a Toblerone?" People were quick to try and find it, and the image later left many stunned.

It's clearly something a lot of people haven't spotted before. Perhaps because they're usually quick to just dive straight into the chocolate.

One person said: "Ah yeah, on the mountain. Never noticed." Another replied: "I was innocent until now."

A third struggled to see it, writing: "I think you're lying." However, it's something that has got dozens chatting on Reddit too.

Someone posted: "It took me a few minutes to see the bear. It's really hidden."

Meanwhile, another commented: "Help me see the bear." One more also chimed in with: "Can't believe I learned this from a Reddit post."

Little you may know, the hidden bear has been there for years. While it may take some a while to spot, it's a piece of chocolate trivia that often takes people by surprise.

What does it mean?

If you're wondering why it's there, the bear in the Toblerone logo is a hidden silhouette intended to represent Bern, Switzerland. This is the city where the chocolate was created in 1908.

Known as the "City of Bears," Bern features a bear on its coat of arms. Therefore, the hidden image acts as a tribute to the brand's local heritage and origin.

However, the logo has changed in recent years. The Matterhorn mountain was actually replaced with a more generic, modern peak when production moved outside of Switzerland.

Despite this, the brand kept the bear hidden within the new mountain design as a nod to its history and the city of Bern. Therefore, you should still be able to see it.

If you're a fan of Toblerone, try looking for it the next time you indulge. It's amazing what new information you can learn every day.
