Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi reportedly appeared before the National Commission for Women on Thursday (April 7). The matter is said to be to the controversy to the lyrics of a song ‘Sarke Chunar’ from his upcoming film ‘KD The Devil’. According to sources, NCW had issued summons to her in this case, after which she appeared before the commission. During the meeting, the actress also gave a written apology on the alleged dispute. It is also being told that as a social responsibility, he has talked about bearing the expenses of education of some orphan children.
According to sources, the actress briefly spoke on the matter and said that as an artiste, she understands her responsibility and has also given a written apology after this controversy. Nora Fatehi said, “Being an artist, I have apologized while fulfilling my responsibility. I had no intention of hurting anyone.” She also told that as a social responsibility, she is deciding to bear the expenses of education of some orphan girls.
People expressed strong objection to the song
The film ‘KD The Devil’ is in the news for the alleged controversial song ‘Sarke Chunar’. The film is originally a Kannada language project, which has been dubbed into four other languages including Hindi. According to reports, the Hindi version of this song was released on YouTube on March 15, after which there was a strong reaction on social media regarding its filming and lyrics. Many spectators objected to this and lodged a protest. After the controversy escalated, the makers removed the song from YouTube, although it remained available on some other digital platforms later. Information about the apology from the lyricist, singer and director associated with the film on this entire issue has also come to light.
Sanjay Dutt also appeared last month
Last month, actor Sanjay Dutt also appeared before the NCW regarding the controversy regarding the song to the film ‘KD The Devil’. According to reports, during this time he had submitted a written apology expressing regret for causing any kind of emotional hurt in the society. The matter was said to be to the lyrics of the song and its alleged objectionable presentation.
Sanjay Dutt had also promised to bear the expenses of education of 50 tribal girls as a social responsibility. He had also said that henceforth he will not be a part of any such film in which there is a possibility of hurting the sentiments of women. Many creative team members have already apologized in the ongoing controversy regarding the film ‘KD The Devil’. The Commission says that any inappropriate or objectionable material served in the name of entertainment will now be seriously monitored. If necessary, concerned parties will be summoned in such cases and recommendations will also be made for appropriate action. NCW has also made it clear that carelessness or objectionable content in any kind of presentation to the dignity and sentiments of women will not be tolerated.
