SIB Junior Officer Vacancy 2026: South Indian Bank Limited has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Junior Officers (Operations) for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. **Graduates May Apply**
For this position, it is mandatory for candidates to hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline, secured with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Furthermore, the candidate's education must have been completed under the regular mode of study (10+2+3 pattern); that is, the SSLC/SSC, HSC, and Graduation stages must all have been completed through a regular mode.
Additionally, it is mandatory for candidates to possess at least one year of work experience within the banking or NBFC sector, and they must be Indian citizens.
Regarding the age limit, the maximum age for candidates belonging to the General Category has been fixed at 28 years as of March 31, 2026. Conversely, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are granted an age relaxation of 5 years, meaning their maximum age limit extends up to 33 years.
**How Will Selection Be Conducted?**
The selection process may comprise an Online Examination, a Group Discussion, and a Personal Interview.
Initially, the Online Examination will be conducted; subsequently, if deemed necessary, the Group Discussion and Interview stages will be held.
Only those candidates who successfully qualify in the Online Examination will proceed to the subsequent stages.
Candidates will be invited for the Personal Interview only after successfully clearing the Group Discussion.
Mere fulfillment of the eligibility criteria does not automatically guarantee that a candidate will be called to participate in the selection process.
The Bank reserves the right to modify the selection process based on the volume of applications received and will determine the number of candidates to be shortlisted for the various stages.
The final decision regarding this recruitment shall rest solely with the Bank, and no objections or correspondence regarding this matter will be entertained.
Appointment on a 3-Year Contract Basis
In this recruitment process, candidates will be appointed to the position of Junior Officer (Operations). This appointment will initially be on a 3-year contract basis.
Candidates demonstrating good performance may subsequently be offered an opportunity for promotion to the regular position of Assistant Manager (Scale-I), in accordance with the bank's rules. For this position, candidates may be required to work in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, or any other location within India, depending on the bank's operational requirements. Additionally, proficiency in the local language will be given preference.
