Royal Challengers Bangalore has faced its fourth defeat in IPL 2026. The defending champion RCB lost by 9 runs against Lucknow Super Giants. This was the team's second consecutive defeat. Coincidentally, once again Virat Kohli's early dismissal was one of the many reasons for the team's defeat. In this match, RCB's star opener Kohli could not even open his account and returned to the pavilion after playing only 2 balls.
