Cricket is a strange game. A fast bowler may experience his most difficult tournament period when he fails to take wickets while he deals with injuries and he allows too many runs to score against him but his ability to bowl at 150 kmph enables him to attract immediate crowd interest. Mayank Yadav's life story is told through his performances as a pacer for LSG. He had played only two IPL 2026 matches before the LSG vs RCB clash on Thursday. He started his bowling with a 150 kmph delivery to Devdutt Padikkal which created immediate recognition but its effect diminished throughout time.

The lack of match practice created a major obstacle for Mayank to overcome. He received support from LSG's strong 210-run total but he failed to capitalize on this advantage. He demonstrated his bowling skills during his first two overs by allowing only 15 runs to score against him. He lost control of the game because he allowed 35 runs to score against him during the next two overs and the management team needs to evaluate their current strategy.

Rajat Patidar hit two sixes against Tim David after he first attacked Rajat Patidar. He ended his bowling performance with 0/50 after delivering four overs which raised his season economy rate from 12.71 to 12.71.

The performer shows complete physical readiness because his typical bowling speed remained between 140 and 142 kilometers per hour except for his slower deliveries. Some of his pitches reached speeds between 146 and 147 kilometers per hour. His entire performance showed that he dedicated himself to producing fast bowling. The pitcher also delivered a pitch that reached 150 kilometers per hour.

His first two overs demonstrated good bowling skills because his delivery path stayed strong while he typically delivered short balls. The first two overs of his bowling performance showed his ability to bowler delivery at stumps which created multiple opportunities.

The batters used their understanding of Patidar because he pitched his third over which allowed them to see through Mayank's strategy of using short deliveries with fast bowling. The batsman started scoring runs after he pitched his delivery outside the boundary of his intended target.

Aussies require an exact bowling technique for their short deliveries against Australian batters. Tim David demonstrated how slight mistakes in delivery make it easy for batters to hit the ball which resulted in him damaging his bowling statistics.

Mayank needs to continue his development process. He may have regained fitness but he still needs to find his rhythm. His current speed will not benefit him or LSG team members. The upcoming matches will test Bharat Aruns skills as the teams bowling coach. Mayank needs to achieve at least a few wickets because it will boost his confidence. He currently lacks sufficient performance.
