Kolkata: The country’s biggest bank, SBI announced its Q4 results posting 6% Y-o-Y increase in its net profit during the Q4 period of FY26. The net profit touched Rs 19,683.75 crore against Rs 18,642.59 crore in the same period a year ago. A significant point was that in excess of 66% of savings bank accounts opened digitally through YONO in FY26.

SBI share performance

The SBI share settled at Rs 1,018.40, down Rs 73.60 or 6.74% at close of trade on May 8. In the past one month the share declined 2.17% and rose 7.07% in the past six months. the shares rose 30.69% in the past one year. The 52-week high and 52-week low of the SBI stock is Rs 1,234.70 and Rs 755.50 respectively.

Past brokerage view

Significantly, major brokerages such as Jefferies, Motilal Oswal and Nuvama assigned Buy signal on the stock after the Q3Fy26 results mainly on expectations of credit growth, improving asset quality and growth in earnings. Investors were advised to take advantage of dips and buy.
