Several properties have been sealed off by police following reports of a man being attacked in broad daylight. Leicestershire Police were called at 11.25am on Sunday, May 10, to an incident in Sweetbriar Road, Westcotes, Leicester. Officers confirmed the report concerned the assault of a man in the street.
A significant police presence remains on Sweetbriar Road, with officers and numerous vehicles on the scene. The force confirmed that a 51-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody.
A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. A police cordon remains in place, encompassing several nearby properties.
