RCB edged out MI by 2 wickets in a thrilling last-ball finish in Raipur, chasing down 167 in a tense IPL clash. Despite a brilliant four-wicket haul from Corbin Bosch, MI fell short as RCB held their nerve in the final over, with Krunal Pandya's fifty anchoring the chase and a late six from Bhuvneshwar sealing the win.

RCB held their nerve in a high-pressure clash against MI as Bhuvneshwar Kumar produced a match-winning all-round impact. The veteran pacer first ripped through MI’s batting lineup with a sensational four-wicket spell before smashing a stunning six in the final over that completely turned the game in RCB’s favour and sealed a memorable victory.

Krunal Pandya then showcased immense grit during the chase, battling severe cramps from his calf to back while anchoring the innings under pressure. Mixing composure with timely aggression, Krunal once again delivered in crunch moments and guided Bengaluru through the tense middle overs.

Despite fighting knocks from Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir, MI could not cross the line, with the defeat officially knocking them out of the playoff race. The win pushes RCB back to the top of the points table and further boosts their chances of securing a Top 2 finish.

IPL Points Table Update

RCB climbed to the top of the IPL 2026 points table after edging past MMI in a thrilling last-over contest at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Mumbai Indians remain ninth on the points table after managing only three wins and suffering eight defeats in 11 matches. MI have collected just six points so far and carry a net run rate of -0.585.

Sunrisers Hyderabad occupy second place with seven wins and four losses from 11 games. Although they also have 14 points, their net run rate of +0.737 keeps them behind the table-toppers. Gujarat Titans are placed third with the same number of points, but with a comparatively lower net run rate of +0.228.

Punjab Kings continue to stay strongly in contention for the playoffs in fourth place with 13 points from 10 matches. PBKS have registered six wins, lost three games and had one no-result, while maintaining a solid net run rate of +0.571.

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are placed fifth and sixth respectively, with both teams sitting on 12 points from 11 matches. CSK currently hold a net run rate of +0.185, narrowly ahead of RR’s +0.082.

Kolkata Knight Riders are seventh with nine points from 10 games after four victories, five losses and one no-result. Delhi Capitals sit eighth with eight points from 11 matches and a net run rate of -1.154.

Lucknow Super Giants have also been knocked out of playoff contention and remain at the bottom of the standings with six points and a net run rate of -0.907.
