Indian employee Sweden office
An Indian professional living in Sweden has sparked discussion online after sharing a video showing what a corporate office in Europe looks like from the inside. The clip, posted by Sanketh Banik on Instagram, highlighted open workspaces, relaxation areas, snacks and employee comfort features that he said are very different from the office culture many people are used to in India. The video quickly caught attention on social media, with several users reacting to the relaxed atmosphere and work-life balance shown in the office setup.

‘You won't even feel like you're in an office’

In the video, Banik introduced himself and explained that he recently moved to Sweden for work as an environmental consultant. While giving viewers a tour of the workplace, he pointed out how the office environment focuses on comfort rather than a traditional cubicle-style layout.

“I am an environmental consultant and I have recently come to Sweden, Europe. Today I am going to show you how European offices are very different from our Indian offices. Like all offices, there are desks and chairs for employees here, but the environment here is such that you won't even feel like you're in an office,” he said in the clip.

He also spoke about the design of the office and how it avoids the rigid structure often associated with corporate workplaces. “That is, the setup of their offices is not like cubicles at all. Here in the office, they have kept bean bags and stylish and cool table chairs, so that hardcore office feeling never comes,” he added.

Open seating, snacks and games inside the office

The video showed employees sitting and working on staircase-style seating areas. According to Banik, workers could also choose to work outside if they wanted to.

“And especially here, stairs are made where people sit and work, and if they feel like it, they can also work outside,” he said. Apart from flexible seating, the office also appeared to offer several facilities aimed at helping employees relax during the workday.

“And you will get free unlimited candies like this, which anyone can take as much as they want. And you also get Swedish style snacks here every day in the evening. And if you are more stressed, you can also find massage chairs and many games here. So this is how Europe's corporate offices are,” Banik said in the video.
