Students often believe they won’t be able to view their results without an ‘APAAR ID’; however, this is not the case. The Board has clarified that students who do not possess this ID can still create their DigiLocker accounts.
Anticipation is mounting among the lakhs of students who appeared for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 examinations. On one hand, the digital platform ‘DigiLocker’ has signaled that results could be released very soon, having issued its second major update within just two days. Conversely, reports emerging from within the Board tell a different story; a significant snag has arisen regarding the evaluation of answer sheets, creating a state of confusion among students.
Preparations Complete on DigiLocker
Speculation regarding the results intensified when DigiLocker officially announced that the Class 12 results would soon be available on its platform. This marks the second update in two days, leading students to speculate that the results could be released within the next 24 to 48 hours. The government has advised students to activate their DigiLocker accounts in advance to avoid last-minute congestion and the inconvenience of website crashes. To facilitate this, the Board has also shared a simple procedure.

Enter your mobile number and verify it by entering the One-Time Password (OTP) received on that number. Your account will be activated, and on the day of the results, you will be able to view your digital marksheet.
Evaluation of Answer Sheets Still Underway
Preparations for the results are in full swing across various digital platforms. Meanwhile, reliable sources within the CBSE indicate that the evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets has not yet been fully completed. Reports suggest that answer sheets which could not be scanned due to technical glitches or poor internet connectivity are now being evaluated manually. At several centers in and around Delhi, special teams of teachers are currently checking these answer sheets using traditional methods.
When Will the Results Be Announced?
Based on updates from DigiLocker, students were anticipating that the results would be released on May 12 or 13; however, given that the evaluation of answer sheets is still ongoing, it is now considered highly unlikely that the results will be declared before May 15. Experts suggest that the results could be announced on any day between May 15 and May 20.
