Pat Cummins admitted Sunrisers Hyderabad may have failed to exploit the conditions properly during their crushing 82-run defeat to Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026.
Cummins felt SRH perhaps should have persisted longer with hard lengths after GT’s bowlers dismantled Hyderabad for just 86 while defending 168. The SRH skipper praised Gujarat’s attack, calling it “as good as T20 bowling as you’re going to see.” Mohammed Siraj set the tone with an early wicket maiden, while Kagiso Rabada ripped through the top order.
Despite the collapse, Cummins backed Hyderabad’s batting unit and insisted the team would quickly move on from the defeat ahead of crucial remaining matches.
