The Cannes Film Festival is just beginning and it is under the spotlight for both good reasons and bad. L’Oreal Paris has always had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan representing them during the festival and she has been the face of the brand in India for years now. When the posters of the people representing the brand were revealed, she was conveniently left out.
This upset fans a lot because they had been looking forward to her. Instead, it was Alia Bhatt who has been representing the brand as one of their ambassadors. Now, the brand has also responded to her absence.
L’Oreal Breaks Silence on Aishwarya Not Being at CannesFans had been openly criticising how L’Oreal skipped out on revealing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as one of its ambassadors when it unveiled the posters at Cannes’ Le Martinez Hotel. Alia Bhatt’s poster made it but hers didn’t. In the official Instagram post of the same, many fans criticised just how bad it looked for the brand. Amongst all those was one comment that the brand responded to.

One user commented, “Where is @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb ?We only see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan during Cannes. We want to see her more. Her aura is unmatched ..please promote and celebrate her more.”
To this, the brand replied from the official account, “Year after year, Cannes after Cannes. She never misses.”
This only seemed to anger fans even more, who began asking if her aura was really that important to the brand, then why wouldn’t they also add a poster of hers? While her poster may be missing, there is still a likely chance that she is part of the event, or at least the closing ceremony, as per reports.
L’Oreal’s comment also suggests that she won’t be skipping the entire festival even if she hasn’t made an appearance yet. Although she is missing for now, there are many other Indian celebrities who are going to be a part of the festival. Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Tara Sutaria, Mouni Roy, Ammy Virk, Ashok Saraf, Nivedita Saraf, Prajakta Mali and producer Kedar Joshi.
