Chennai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have made a key mid-season replacement in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, bringing in Karnataka all-rounder Macneil Hadley Noronha as a replacement for injured player Ramakrishna Ghosh.
According to an official IPL statement, Ramakrishna Ghosh was ruled out of the season after sustaining a right leg injury during a match against Mumbai Indians on May 3. He has now been replaced by Macneil Hadley Noronha for a fee of Rs 30 lakh.
Who is Macneil Noronha?Born on September 23, 2001 in Dubai, Macneil Hadley Noronha spent much of his early life in the UAE before shifting focus to his cricket career in India. At the age of 15, he made a crucial decision to pursue cricket in India after impressing in a zonal-level tournament in Bengaluru.
