Manish Pandey proved again why he is regarded as one of the best fielders in the Indian circuit. Today, while the Kolkata Knight Riders were trying to defend 13 runs, Pandya flew to his left to take a one-handed blinder, dismissing Tim David in the 18th over!
The catch earned immense appreciation from players from both sides, and jaws dropped even in the RCB dugout. Kartik Tyagi, who bowled the shortish ball, looked stunned watching Pandey fly for the ball. Even after taking the catch, Virat Kohli congratulated him with a little hug.
In the fifth ball of the 18th over, Tyagi delivered a short ball outside off. David tried to hit towards the backward point. Pandya dove to his left and lunged low enough to keep his fingers underneath the ball, taking an impossibly low catch. The umpires gave a good check and then rewarded Manish with the wicket.
