Will a big message come from BRICS?
India is currently the chair of BRICS and this is an important meeting of foreign ministers before the summit in September. Iran, which will become a full member of this group only in 2024, now wants to raise its voice from the BRICS platform. However, the challenge is great. Last month, no joint statement on the war could be issued due to deep differences among the member countries. In particular, the ongoing standoff between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Iran over attacks on energy infrastructure has made the diplomatic path even more difficult.
