The storm, rain and lightning that hit Uttar Pradesh recently have caused huge devastation across the state. In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken serious cognizance of the human loss, animal loss and economic loss caused by this natural disaster. He has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and has given instructions to provide immediate relief to the victims.

In fact, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions to the officials that compensation should be provided as soon as possible to those who have suffered losses due to unseasonal rain, storm and lightning. He said that this work of providing relief to the victims should be completed within the next 24 hours. For this, the local administration has been asked to take all possible steps so that no victim has to face trouble. The Chief Minister has directed the District Magistrates of all the districts and officials of other departments to reach the spot and provide all possible assistance to the victims. He has also warned that any kind of negligence in this important work will not be tolerated at all.

Officers instructed to remain on alert mode

In view of this situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed all the concerned officials to remain on alert mode. He has also directed the Revenue Department, Agriculture Department and insurance companies to conduct a detailed survey of the damage caused in the affected areas with immediate effect. After the survey, after making an accurate assessment of the loss, it has been asked to submit its report to the government as soon as possible. The Chief Minister has a clear instruction that after the completion of the survey, the compensation amount should be distributed to the victims without any delay. It should be ensured that no eligible victim is deprived of assistance.

More than 40 people died

It is noteworthy that the storm that hit the state last Wednesday has caused huge damage at many places. This natural disaster has not only caused economic loss, but many people have also lost their lives. According to statistics, more than 40 people have died in this storm and lightning incidents. The highest loss has been recorded in Bhadohi district, where 17 people alone have died tragically. A heart-wrenching incident also came to light in Bareilly, where a man was standing holding a tin shed to save himself from the storm, but the storm was so strong that it took him away. In this incident, the man’s hands and legs were broken and a video of this is also going viral on social media. Apart from this, many houses and farms have also been badly damaged, causing huge losses to farmers and the general public.

The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for the coming days. The department has also issued an alert of worsening weather in many districts of the state on Thursday. In such a situation, people have been advised not to stop in open places and take shelter in safe places only. An appeal has been made to take this precaution so that any untoward incident can be avoided. At present the weather pattern has changed in the state and people have been given strict instructions to take precautions.
