The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the details for the upcoming Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled for September 2026. The 22nd edition of this examination is set to take place on September 6, 2026 (Sunday), covering both Paper I and Paper II. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online via the official CTET or CBSE websites.

The application window opened on May 11, 2026, and will remain open until 11:59 PM on June 10, 2026. In the event of a higher number of applicants, the examination may also be held on September 5, 2026 (Saturday).

1. Start of online applications: May 11, 2026
2. Deadline for online applications: June 10, 2026 (until 11:59 PM)
3. Last date for fee payment: June 10, 2026 (until 11:59 PM)
4. Application correction period: June 15 to June 18, 2026
5. Admit card release: Two days prior to the exam

Additionally, the Board has provided a correction facility for candidates wishing to amend their submitted application forms. Corrections can be made from June 15 to June 18, 2026.
