The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India ‘A’ team for the Sri Lanka tour to be held in June. On this tour, the Indian team will play the ODI Tri Series, in which the teams of Sri Lanka ‘A’ and Afghanistan ‘A’ will also participate. Young batsman Tilak Verma has been given the captaincy of the team for this series, while Riyan Parag Has been made the vice-captain.
BCCI has selected a 15-member team for this tour, in which many young and emerging players have been given a chance. Keeping the future in mind, the selectors have included such players in the team, who can become a part of the senior Indian team in the future. Especially in view of the preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup, this series is considered very important.

Confidence has been expressed in the young fast bowlers in the bowling department. Yash Thakur, Anshul Kamboj, Arshad Khan And players like Yudhveer Singh will get a chance to showcase their talent in this tour.
This trial series will start from June 9 and will end with the final match on June 21. All three teams will play two matches against each other, after which the top two teams in the points table will face each other in the final.
After the end of the series, two multi-day test matches will also be played between India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’. However, the team for the Test series will be announced later.
