The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organised a programme in Delhi to provide appointment letters to the families and dependents of deceased employees, aiming to support them financially after the loss of their earning members.
During the event, officials said the initiative was intended to help affected families become self-reliant and continue their lives with greater financial stability. The appointments were handed over to eligible family members under the council’s support framework for dependents of late employees.
In addition to the employment assistance, NDMC also distributed medical health cards to contractual workers employed in different categories under the Liberalised Medical Health Scheme (LMHS). Through the scheme, employees and their family members will be able to access cashless treatment facilities at empanelled hospitals and diagnostic centres.
The programme focused on employee welfare and healthcare access for both permanent and contractual staff associated with the civic body. Officials present at the event highlighted the importance of social security measures and healthcare support for municipal workers and their families.
Several public representatives and NDMC officials attended the programme, including Delhi minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, Member of Parliament Bansuri Swaraj, NDMC Chairman Keshav Chandra, Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal, along with council members and employees.
