Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has now added a luxurious piece of Ayodhya to his growing real-estate portfolio. The actor recently purchased a premium land parcel worth ₹3.31 crore in the temple city, just months before the release of his ambitious mythological film Ramayanawhere he will be seen playing Lord Ram.

Ranbir Kapoor’s New Ayodhya Investment

According to reports, the actor bought a 2,134 sq ft land parcel at “The Sarayu,” a high-end plotted development project by House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). The property is located along the banks of the Sarayu river and is reportedly part of a massive 75-acre luxury development.

The premium project is expected to include lavish lifestyle amenities, a clubhouse, and even a luxury vegetarian hotel managed by The Leela.

“Ayodhya Has Chosen Me,” Says Ranbir

Speaking about the purchase, Ranbir reportedly described the city as deeply connected to India’s cultural identity. The actor said he felt as if “Ayodhya has chosen me,” calling the investment a part of his family legacy.

His statement has sparked conversations online, especially because of his upcoming portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramayana: Part 1. Many fans are viewing the purchase as more than just a business move, linking it symbolically to his role in the epic adaptation.

Bollywood’s Growing Obsession With Ayodhya

Ranbir is not the first Bollywood celebrity to invest in Ayodhya. Earlier, megastar Amitabh Bachchan had also acquired multiple land parcels in the city, including properties near the Ram Janmabhoomi area.

With the Ram Mandir becoming a major spiritual and tourist landmark, Ayodhya has emerged as one of India’s hottest real-estate destinations. Reports suggest that visitor numbers in the city have skyrocketed over the last few years, drawing both investors and celebrities alike.

All Eyes On Ramayana

Meanwhile, anticipation for Ramayana: Part 1 continues to grow rapidly. Director Nitesh Tiwari has cast Ranbir Kapoor alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The makers plan to release the film during Diwali 2026.
