IND A vs SA A: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A team for the triangular ODI series of Sri Lanka tour to be held in June 2026. Host Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A teams will also participate in this series. The selectors have given opportunity to many young and emerging players for this tour, which include the names of promising players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya. The captaincy of the team has been handed over to young batsman Tilak Verma, while Ryan Parag has been made the vice-captain.

Golden opportunity for young players

According to the media advisory issued by BCCI, this tour is considered very important in preparing the future of Indian cricket. This time the selectors have given opportunity to such players who have consistently performed well in domestic cricket, IPL and India A setup in recent months. Young players like Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ayush Badoni and Nishant Sindhu have been included in the team, who were being monitored for a long time.

India A is showing strength

The batting department of India A team looks very strong. Apart from Captain Tilak Verma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya Players like him have been in great form in recent times. By giving the responsibility of vice-captain to Riyan Parag, the selectors have clearly indicated that he is being prepared for an important role in future plans. Players like Ayush Badoni and Suryansh Shedge will also work to provide balance to the team.

Prabhsimran Singh and Kumar Kushagra will handle the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Both the players have consistently performed impressively in domestic cricket. The bowling attack includes fast bowlers like Yash Thakur, Yudhveer Singh, Anshul Kamboj and Arshad Khan. These players have impressed with their bowling in the recent domestic season and T20 tournaments. The selectors are trying to give experience of the international environment to such players, who can become options for the Indian senior team in the coming years.
