Inflation: There are signs that the Indian economy will be hit hard by the war in the Gulf countries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the countrymen to be frugal in everything. Especially regarding the supply of fuel and gas, new discussions have started. In addition, the price of petrol and diesel in the country has recently increased by around Rs 3 per litre. Therefore, it is being said that the country is moving towards inflation once again.
Now only petrol diesel is expensive, but now milk, grocery, vegetables, online delivery and daily use items are also likely to become expensive (Inflation). According to experts, the increase in transport costs is likely to increase the prices of many commodities in a phased manner. This could have a major impact on the FMCG (daily consumer goods) sector in particular.
There are already signs of rising milk prices. Some companies have already hiked the prices in view of increased transportation and operational costs. This may also affect the prices of dairy products like curd, butter, paneer, cheese and ice cream.
India’s food supply chain is heavily dependent on road transport. If transportation of vegetables, fruits, grains, pulses and packaged food becomes expensive, it can directly affect the pocket of the consumers. Inflation
Goods such as biscuits, snacks, instant noodles, edible oil, soap, shampoo, detergents and hygiene products may increase production and transportation costs. Companies can use options such as reducing pack size or gradually changing prices without directly raising prices.
Farmers are also affected by rising costs
In agriculture, diesel is used extensively for tractors, irrigation pumps, harvesters and freight transport. Therefore, if diesel becomes expensive, the cost of agriculture will increase and the price of food grains will also be affected in the future.
Rising fuel prices can impact the cost of food delivery, e-commerce, courier services, taxi and bus travel. Customers may face higher delivery charges, reduced offers or increased service charges. According to economists, if fuel prices remain at high levels for a long time, rising inflation may put additional strain on the monthly budget of ordinary households.
