A telescopic hedge trimmer is gaining shoppers' attention thanks to its ability to cut 'hard to reach areas'. The Gracious Gardens Cordless Hedge Trimmer is currently available on Amazon for £59.99 - and it's an Amazon's Choice product.

It is said to be ideal for clipping tall, awkward or hard-to-reach hedges and shrubs thanks to the 1.3m extendable pole. It also allows users to trim low hedges without having to bend down and strain their back.

The trimmer can cut branches up to 14mm in thickness, the site says, and it has a high performance 18V battery. It delivers up to 40 minutes' run-time from one single charge, with the charge time ranging from three to five hours.

It offers a 120° five-position pivoting head, allowing for the easy trimming at the top or bottom of hedges, and it weighs 3.5kg. It is simple to operate, too, featuring a one-handed power trigger and safety switch to prevent accidental starting.

Argos also has the McGregor 41cm Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer - 18V for £60, down from £75. The site says the dual action blades cut cleanly through branches, and it comes with a 2Ah battery and charger.

Or at Currys, there's the BLACK + DECKER Strimmer Cordless Hedge Trimmer with 1 Battery for £94.99, down from £99.99. This has a blade length of 450mm, it weighs 2.4kg, and the hardened steel blades can cut through branches up to 18mm thick.

The Gracious Gardens Cordless Hedge Trimmer has an overall average rating of 4.2 out of five stars on Amazon. One person wrote: "Great for cutting high, hard to reach areas."

Another said: "Really good, easy to put together. Not overly heavy. Battery lasted well."

While a third added: "Better than expected. Also very good value."

Others left some feedback, with one writing: "Works well but is quite heavy." Someone else said: "It's OK for the price paid but it's a little heavy for me personally. I'm not young and I'm not strong otherwise I'm sure it would be fine."
