Dhaka: Preparations for the Muslim festival Eid al-Adha (Bakrid) are in full swing across Bangladesh. Amid the celebrations, two buffaloes at cattle farms near the capital city Dhaka have become major attractions among visitors.
The animals are drawing attention not only for their huge size but also because people believe they resemble global political leaders Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu in appearance and behaviour. Large crowds are visiting the farms to see the buffaloes and take selfies with them.
According to international media reports, a rare 700-kg albino buffalo has been named “Donald Trump.” Locals say its white skin and light-coloured hair resemble the hairstyle of US President Donald Trump.
One visitor jokingly said that although the buffalo looks like Trump, it has a calm nature. Farm owner Ziauddin said the buffalo has already been sold for a high price.
Meanwhile, another 750-kg buffalo in the Narayanganj area has been named “Benjamin Netanyahu.” Unlike the “Trump” buffalo, this one is said to be aggressive and short-tempered.
The farm manager said the buffalo often snorts angrily, charges at handlers and behaves aggressively.
Videos of both buffaloes have gone viral on social media in Bangladesh, with users posting humorous comments comparing the animals to the personalities and behaviour of the world leaders.
