In Jodhpur, two real sisters committed suicide within an interval of just two months.

Story of blackmailing and first suicide

This horrifying story started with the elder sister. According to the complaint lodged with the police, Mahipal Singh, a local E-Mitra Seva Kendra operator of the area, had trapped the elder sister in his trap. Accused Mahipal had fraudulently recorded some obscene videos of the girl.

Exploitation continued for about 4 years

On the basis of these videos, he and his associates physically and mentally exploited the girl for about four years. The accused kept extorting huge amount from him by continuously threatening to make the video viral. Fed up with this harassment and fear of public shame, the elder sister committed suicide on March 20th. This cruelty did not stop even after the death of the elder sister.

Younger sister raised her voice

After the death of her elder sister, her younger sister started fighting for justice. He lodged a written complaint with the police on April 11. In this complaint he named a total of eight people including Mahipal. Names like Shivraj, Gopal, Vijram, Dinesh, Manoj and Pukhraj were included in the complaint.

Gave warning to police

All of them were accused of gang-raping the elder sister, blackmailing her and threatening to kill her. The younger sister had also given a clear warning to the police that if her sister did not get justice, she would also commit suicide. The police registered the case but did not take any concrete action against the accused.

Second chapter of cruelty

The surprising and shameful thing is that even after the FIR was registered, the morale of the accused was high. The victim alleged that after the death of her elder sister, the accused started targeting her. They also started scaring her by showing the same obscene video and did wrong things to her too.

The accused kept putting pressure

The accused were roaming openly and threatening the victim that the police would not do any harm to her. This laxity of the police encouraged the accused and they continued to put pressure on the victim. Ultimately, fed up with the inaction of the police, the younger sister decided to take a suicidal step.

Committed suicide by climbing on a water tank

On Friday, the younger sister climbed the water tank located in the village to convey her views to the administration and demand the arrest of the accused. He shouted from there and demanded to arrest the accused immediately. Within no time a crowd of villagers gathered there. Administration and police officials also reached the spot and started trying to bring him down. But as soon as the policemen started climbing the tank to save him, he consumed the poisonous substance. He died on the way to the hospital. This incident has shaken the entire Rajasthan.

Society’s anger and demonstration

After this double suicide, there is huge anger in the Rajput society. President of Marwar Rajput Sabha Hanuman Singh Khangata has directly accused the police that they were working to protect the accused during the entire investigation. Due to this failure of the police, today two innocent sisters have lost their lives.

Demonstration started after the incident

After the incident, the body was kept in the mortuary of MDM Hospital, where a large number of people from the society gathered and demonstrated. The people of the society have demanded that strict departmental action should be taken against the negligent policemen and all the accused should be sent to jail immediately. After much persuasion and assurance of departmental investigation, the family agreed for post-mortem.

Police administration’s claim

On this sensitive matter, Jodhpur Superintendent of Police PD Nitya said that the main accused Mahipal and another accused have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. Police officials say that teams have been formed to search for the remaining named accused. Along with this, a high level departmental inquiry has been ordered against the concerned police station officers and investigating officers who were negligent in this matter. Police have assured that no culprit will be spared.
