Latur/New Delhi. Taking major action in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a coaching operator from Latur, Maharashtra. The arrested accused has been identified as Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, who runs a coaching institute named “Renukai Chemistry Classes (RCC)”.
According to the investigating agency, during the raid conducted on Sunday, the alleged leaked question paper of the medical entrance examination was recovered from the mobile phone of the accused, after which he was taken into custody and arrested.
Leaked paper found from mobile-
The CBI team had launched a search operation at the locations of the accused. During this time, it has been claimed that leaked question paper of NEET UG exam was found in his mobile phone. The investigating agency alleges that the accused was part of an organized gang, which leaked the question paper before the examination and circulated it further.
The paper was received only on 23rd April-
According to CBI, the accused along with his associates had obtained the question paper and answers on April 23, 2026 itself and it was further passed on to many people. At present, a thorough investigation of the case is going on and the role of other people associated with the network is also being investigated.
10 arrests so far-
CBI has so far arrested 10 people in this entire paper leak case. Apart from Shivraj Motegaonkar, Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, Prof. P.V. The names of Kulkarni, Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, Yash Yadav, Shubham Khairnar, Manisha Waghmare and Dhananjay Lokhande are included.
The investigating agency says that further action will continue to expose the entire network and more arrests are possible.
