His much-awaited Malayalam suspense thriller film ‘Drishyam 3’ is all set to release in theaters across the world on the special occasion of his birthday, i.e. on 21st May. The audience was waiting for this cult franchise directed by Jeetu Joseph for a long time, which is why as soon as the countdown for the film’s release started, fans have started booking advance tickets for ‘First Day First Show’. There is a huge craze among the audience to see this story full of tricks and suspense of Georgekutty on the big screen.

Even before hitting the theaters, the makers of ‘Drishyam 3’ have also cleared the way for its digital release. The OTT rights deal of the film has been finalized with a big platform. As per the rule generally adopted for big films, this film of thriller genre will also be streamed on the internet only about a month after its release in theatres. This decision has also brought relief to those viewers who want to watch the film on their screens at home.

Both the previous highly successful parts of the ‘Drishyam’ franchise are available on Amazon Prime Video. Continuing this trend, a strong and unbreakable agreement has been signed between the makers and the OTT platform for the new season. If initial media reports are to be believed, there will be a fixed gap (theatre window) of at least 30 to 35 days between theatrical release and OTT streaming. Accordingly, speculations are being made that ‘Drishyam 3’ can be streamed online on Prime Video in the last week of June or in the beginning of July.

The recently released powerful trailer of ‘Drishyam 3’ has doubled the curiosity among the audience. It is clearly evident from the trailer that this time there is going to be a big and unexpected twist in the story. Till now we had seen that the family of Georgekutty (Mohanlal) was struggling with the police investigation, but in this third part, there is no police force after them, but an unknown third person is behind them. Who is that mysterious person and why is he conspiring to land Georgekutty’s family in big trouble once again, this will be the main puzzle of this film. To unravel this suspense, Mohanlal will once again have to use his sharp mind. Talking about the star cast, along with Mohanlal, old faces like Meena, Esther Anil and Ansiba Hassan are also returning in their roles in the film.
