A massive fire suddenly broke out in the Ashok Nagar police station premises of Delhi. The fire spread so rapidly that an atmosphere of chaos was created among the policemen present in the police station. After the fire, efforts were made to control the situation, but the flames continued to spread rapidly. According to the people present at the spot, there was a situation of chaos in the police station premises at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, MLA Kuldeep Kumar has raised questions on the response of the fire department by sharing the video to the incident on social media. He alleged that despite the presence of a fire station near the police station, fire tenders did not reach the spot for about an hour. According to the MLA, the fire brigade team reached the spot long after the fire broke out, due to which serious questions have been raised about the situation.
According to the information, at around 1:06 pm, Delhi Fire Service received information about fire in the warehouse of New Ashok Nagar Police Station. As soon as the information was received, the fire department immediately started action and initially three water tenders (WT) and one water bowser (WB) were sent to the spot. After the fire, the employees present in the police station tried to control the fire, but the fire spread rapidly. Later additional fire tenders were also called to the spot.
Seeing the situation becoming serious, the fire service declared it ‘Make-4’. After this, additional fire tenders were quickly dispatched to the spot. According to the information, at around 1:28 pm the fire was declared as ‘Make-4’ keeping it in serious category, after which the rescue and cooling operations were further intensified. Altogether, four water tenders, three water bowsers and another fire unit were deployed at the spot. Several teams of fire personnel are making continuous efforts to control the fire.

While extinguishing the fire, the fire department called for additional resources and two more water bowsers were dispatched to the spot. Considering the seriousness of the situation, continuous cooling operations were carried out so that the fire could not flare up again. The fire was finally declared “under control” at around 1:50 pm. However, even after this, the cooling operation continued inside the warehouse for a long time so that any residual heat or spark could not cause fire again. After this, at 2:20 pm, a “Stop” message was issued by the fire department, with which the operation officially ended.
At present the situation regarding the fire is not completely clear. The reason for the fire has not been revealed yet and it is also not known how much damage has been done to the records, seized goods or other documents kept in the warehouse. Police and fire department teams are jointly investigating the case. According to officials, a detailed assessment of the damage caused by the fire is being done and the actual situation will be clear only after the investigation is completed.
Meanwhile, local MLA Kuldeep Kumar has raised serious questions on the administration by sharing the video of the incident on social media. He claimed that despite the presence of a fire station near the police station, the fire tenders reached the spot quite late. While sharing the video on He further wrote, “There is a fire station right next to the police station! What has BJP done to Delhi’s fire department!”
